Meetings: men only meet approximentely four times a year (April thru Oct) to conduct business,
and 2 -3 times for social events with the ladies.

The next meeting of the Unit:
The Ambassador Unit of Cyprus Shrine again hosted its Annual Golf Tournament to raise funds
in support of the children who are being treated at the Shriner’s Hospitals. The title for this year’s event
was the “2008 Jim Brush Memorial Open”; and it was again sponsored by Dutchess Beer Distributors
Incorporated and underwritten by Rondout Charities, a 501(c)3 charitable corporation. The tournament
was in memorial of a close friend of the Ambassador Unit, James Brush, who was called to our creator
early in life. Jim was a true gentleman, a good friend and a strong supporter of children’s charities.
The event was July 17, 2008 at the Rondout Golf Club in Accord and a GREAT TIME was had by all.

Note: The Legion of Honor had its first meeting on April 9, 2008. We had 7 Nobles at the meeting,
Chief Rabban Ray Struck, Joe Bernstein, Bill Okesson, Karl Koch, P.P., Captain of the Guard
Jack Norray, Marshall Jack Minozzi and your Potentate Bud. Noble Drew Miller was present in
the building, but could not stay for our meeting since he was attending his Blue Lodge.
Future plans are to participate in the Albany Veterans day parade. If you are interested in joining,

I am proud that we are getting this unit back together, and I want to thank all those who have shown
an interest. We need to show that we care about the military that we served!
